长城有二十多个世纪的历史。它的第一部分是在春秋时期建造的。战国时期，有更多的城墙被用来保卫不同王国的边界。正是在秦朝，秦国把帝夫的发福部分统一为一个帝国。为了把敌人赶出他的帝国，秦始皇把所有的城墙连在一起。于是，长城诞生了。
长城的宽度足以让五匹马或十个人并排走。沿着墙的是瞭望塔，士兵们常常在那里守望。当敌人到来时，在塔上点燃了火作为警告。
